Film Review: Surrogates

This week's film was Surrogates, which tells us the story of a not so distant future where people no longer leave their homes, but instead live their life through robotic surrogates.

Surrogates starts off with a documentary-like introduction to the world in the film, a world where people are no longer living their lives as themselves, but through a remote controlled robotic surrogate. When suddenly remote operators start dying when their surrogate breaks down, the game is on for FBI agents Greer and Peters.

The film looks quite nicely in the trailers, but that's about all it does. It does its job as 1,5 hours of entertainment, but it's one of those films that you already start forgetting as soon as the theatre lights go back on. Bruce Willis does what he is paid to do as an actor, but not much more than that.

Final verdict: 2/5, good to watch, but mediocre.
